A little about me

Hello there, I am Roger Asquith, and a recent graduate of Penn State Berks with a degree in Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations with a minor in Information Sciences and Technology. I also graduated with a certificate in National Security Agency and with high honors on the Dean's list. Thoughout my four and a half years at Berks Ive gained alot of hands on experience with digital/ physical risk management, cybersecurity principles, and networking fundamentals. The main reason why I wanted to study cybersecurity is that I am passionate about protecting information and systems with efficient and out-of-the-box thinking solutions. As a recent graduate, I’m ready to apply my skills in real-world environments where I can learn more as I go.
Beyond the Cybersecuity world, I engage in a range of interests. My hobbies include photography, learning Spanish, trying new things with friends, and working out. I'm a big fan of movies. My highest record of Movies watched in a year was 200 in 2024. I love cinema and what it has to offer to the world. Whenever I get the chance, I also like to try out new foods. These hobbies keep me balanced and open to the door for creativity when it's required. They also help me stay innovative and adaptable with everything I pursue.

2025 Resume
A machine learning model that detects phishing websites (Oct – Dec 2024)
With another student, we worked for three months making a machine learning model that is used to detect phishing websites on an Excel file sheet. The project was split into five phases. The first phase was data processing, the second was exploratory data analysis, the third was feature selection, forth was exploratory data analysis, feature selection using decision trees, and the fifth model building and prediction. Healthcare Information Privacy and Security Training Project (Sept 2024 – Dec 2024)
With 6 other students I worked with Katlego Kabotho a director of the Maranyane Medical Laboratory in Jwaneng, Botswana to create Cybersecurity training for her team. Role: I’m creating a Risk Assessment procedure. Which includes PowerPoints and written Risk Assessment deliverables

Security Risk Assessment: Tully’s Dining Center, Reading, PA (Nov – Dec 2023)
For 5 weeks I worked with a group of students to create a 44-page comprehensive risk assessment of Tully’s Dining Center. We focused on point of sales systems, fire safety procedures, food safety, sanitation, physical security, and budget and financials risks. Role: My section involved food safety. I identified the risk (Foodborne illnesses, Cross-contamination, Loss of Revenue, Risk of Shutdown, Allergen management, Temperature control issues.) and created mitigation techniques for them.

In 2023 I created a Github to showcase the multiple projects I did for my web development class. My most notable projects are my two websites (movie and electronics marketplace), four second timer, and product order form webpage.
